TIM'S KITCHEN

TIM'S KITCHEN
With a humble name such as Tim’s Kitchen you’d expect to find homestyle Western eats rather than a two-starred Michelin restaurant that prepares some of the best Cantonese dishes in the region. This is the Macau branch of the famous Hong Kong venue of the same name, though many have observed that the Macau location outshines the original—and since it also has twice as many Michelin stars as the Hong Kong location, there is some weight to the rumors. Many come for Master Chef Lai’s signature dish of crab claw with wintermelon served on a slice of Yunnan ham, though other simpler options such as pomelo skin and shrimp roe, crispy chicken and an array of seafood dishes are also on the menu. More intricate dishes may be ordered a day in advance. Décor is elegant and modern, and service is attentive, as would be expected of a highly rated restaurant.
